Hunger Games

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4S9a5V9ODuY
The Hunger Games was a great movie. It's about kids from a post-apocalyptic society fighting on live television to the death. This movie was so wonderful because it had many action scenes that weren't too violent; the action was still there, but it wasn't that gory. The Hunger Games also caught my attention because the actors(Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, and Josh Hutcherson) did such a great job. The actors gave everyone an equal opportunity to understand the circumstances, even if you didn't read the book. Although this movie had a dark feeling to it, it kept you on your toes and made you root for your favorite tribute. The Hunger Games was captivating because it kept me wondering how did the actors become so agile. This pleases all audiences, it was an action movie as well as a drama. What were your most/least favorite parts of the movie?

The Vow

The Vow, starring Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams is based on a true story. Rachel McAdams' character, Paige loses her memory of the past five years in a car accident, erasing the memory of her marriage and relationship with Leo (Channing Tatum). The movie follows Paige and Leo's struggle through her memory loss as they try to get things back to normal. I went into the movie with low expectations after hearing from a friend that it wasn't as good as she thought it would be. After the movie I wasn't disappointed, but I wasn't completely satisfied either. The movie is more about her dealing with the memory loss rather then the rekindling of Leo and Paige's lost relationship, which is what I thought the movie was going to be dealing with. Although it wasn't exactly what I expected, it was an overall good movie.
